I had made an account on that site back in August and posted in it awhile and then stopped. I was racking my brain trying to figure out ways to advertise this forum and I thought of going to different forums and sending PM's to the members telling them about this place and asking them to sign up. I got several replies and a few even signed up from there (Thank you!) but then I got a message from one of the moderators telling me that I had been warned and there was going to be a vote as to whether or not they would keep me or not. First of all, I wasn't going around advertising in the actual forum, I was sending PM's. Never in my life have I seen a forum so strict. Anyway, I stopped sending out the messages and started posting in the forum. After that I was warned again for saying "mmm...ham" in reference of someone else saying that the mods were away eating ham. Then, the next thing I know, I was banned. So, me being the ass I am sent a mod a message asking wtf was going on and I got a message back saying I was "pardoned" and now I'm able to post and my points are restored.

I honestly don't understand how they keep that forum going as strict as they can be sometimes.

Also, a forum link is my signature there so the more I post the more people can see it and hopefully I'll get more people that way.

Last thing...if it's allowed to go in my signature why is it a big deal I was pm'ing people about it? Rolling Eyes

I don't know why they would be like that. They get advertisement from you as well. They will come on here and say where they came from. Sometimes they will talk about it. So I don't see why it would matter.

That's not strict. If they allow you to have a signature, then it's not that bad. I've seen forums that require a user have 1000 posts before they can have a sig, because someone could put malicious code into a sig. As for advertising, not everyone is comfortable with people sending them messages asking them to join another community.

The same with religion.

a little while ago I was a member of another forum I got so sick of that place I flammed just to get banned and so I could get outta that place

I didn't know advertising wasn't allowed in messages. O.o That's a bit harsh. You can't even advertise groups on there from there! <- Which is ridiculous. I could understand how it might not be allowed in the forums themselves, as advertising can get hella annoying.

I think LiveWire is so strict is that there are so many members it attracts a billion trolls and the rules help to get of them. Personally I like how LiveWire is, except a lot of the people on there.

Well, someone else complained about me sending them a message about this forum and it didn't even have the link posted in it. I just simply talked about it and said if they were interested they could reply asking for the link. I'm denied service...again. I argued with some mod for a really long time and told them that nowhere in their stupid guidelines did it say advertising in messages weren't allowed and I read them at least 3 times. They still said I had no grounds for arguement and claimed I was harassing the members by sending them unwanted messages. I hate some people. They can be such cry babies sometimes. If a person didn't like the message all they had to do was delete it. If I were to pay $25 they would have let me advertise all over the thing. Rolling Eyes

And while I was trying to state my case, they told me to stop spamming because I broke the rules and should deal with consequences. IT WAS NOT A FUCKING RULE TO BEGIN WITH! Any person that is on that site please go read the guidelines and tell me where it says sending PM's to another member talking about another site is against the rules. Please? I must be totally blind.

I realize it's just a damn internet forum but my god...that shit is rediculous. It's a good thing I didn't pay the $6 to get rid of all their stupid advertising and to have my own custom avatar. Rolling Eyes

It's actually not that bad. I've used it since 2003 and I've gotten away with some crazy stuff. I've been warned at least 3 times, banned once, yet I'm still on there. The moderators vary, really. Some are nice, and others are complete pseudo-intellectual assholes.
